Individual and Group Volunteers

Partnering with hundreds of nonprofit organizations, The Volunteer Center provides access to thousands of opportunities in San Francisco and in the Peninsula for volunteers who are looking for on-going commitments or one-time jobs. From mentoring a student to gardening to virtual volunteering like writing newsletters from home, we have an endless list to match everyone’s interests.

Don’t want to volunteer alone? There’s no better way to spend time with family and friends than through group volunteering! We have projects available from group sizes of four to as large as 100.

Youth Volunteers

Volunteering is a great way for youth to make positive and appropriate connections to their community! You’ll learn new skills and grow from your experiences while giving back to the community in a meaningful way. Choose from the many opportunities in our database for your age group, and if that’s not enough, we also offer youth guides that include information on more than 500 organizations where you can volunteer.
