Administrative StaffJohn Power John Power was appointed Executive Director of The Volunteer Center of San Francisco in May 2002 following three years in which he held roles of increasing responsibility as Corporate Services Director, Managing Director of Programs and Deputy Director. Prior to joining the Volunteer Center, John built a distinguished reputation in the public service and political arenas, serving as Deputy District Director for San Jose Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren from 1995-98. For nine years he was one of Lofgren's chief policy advisors with expertise in health and human services, immigration, environmental issues and civil justice, beginning in 1990 when he first joined then-County Supervisor Lofgren's staff. John received his bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and in 1989 earned an MBA from Santa Clara University. Julia Love Julia Love has been the Associate Director of The Volunteer Center Serving San Francisco and San Mateo Counties since 2005. In addition to oversight of The Volunteer Center’s Consulting and Training Practice and Volunteer Services, Julia leads the Bay Area Corporate Volunteer Council. In this capacity, she regularly consults with leading corporations on the strategic development of their employee involvement programs. Julia has spent over ten years in the nonprofit sector helping connect nonprofits to the resources they need. Her program development and management experience includes work with boards of directors, executive development trainings, and collaboration development, both with corporate and nonprofit organizations. Julia earned her bachelor's degree at the University of California at Berkeley and received her Masters of Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco. Jennifer Marks
