Laurel Roberts-Meese joined The Volunteer Center in May 2008, five days after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Music from Agnes Scott College. Although she is a Bay Area native, she fell in love with the South while studying at Agnes Scott in Atlanta. She has a deep appreciation for different cultures and communities. She spent her time as an undergraduate serving survivors of sexual assault, as well as running several music organizations on campus. She has worked with children with developmental disabilities and still actively volunteers helping survivors of rape and abuse. She plans to eventually pursue a Masters in Social Work and become a foster parent.
