Thank you to everyone who entered the 2006 Volunteer & Win! contest. Winners will be announced on May 10, 2006. Check back here for more information. You volunteer once a year or all year long, now take your service and use it to Win! This year during National Volunteer Week, The Volunteer Center wants to thank you for your service. Between now and April 29th we are giving away:
With Mayor Gavin Newsom to The Levi's(r) Store

Please "join the mailing list", or we cannot contact you if you win! *The information you enter will not be sold or shared with anyone. with Mayor Gavin Newsom!  Mayor Gavin Newsom knows how important volunteers are to our communities. In recognition of your efforts, he has made time in his busy schedule to give a tour of San Francisco City Hall to 3 lucky volunteers and a representative of their favorite nonprofit agency.
All you have to do to win is write a brief reflection about your experience as a volunteer for any nonprofit organization registered on The Volunteer Center website. With one reflection you have a chance to win the tour and, more importantly, you've encouraged others to volunteer for your favorite nonprofit. Winners will be picked at random from entries submitted by April 29th, 2006. The more reflections you write, the more chances you have to win! We wil be sure to share your thoughts on service with the organizations you have supported. .
To write a reflection, search for any nonprofit organization you have volunteered for. Once you have found your agency on The Volunteer Center website, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the link to "Post a User Reflection". You do not need to display your name on the reflection to be eligible to win.
