  • Charity Channel's Volunteer Management Review is an eNewsletter covering all aspects of volunteer management. It is available for a small fee.
  • CompassPoint Nonprofit Services is a nonprofit training, consulting and research organization with offices in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Through a broad range of services, CompassPoint provides nonprofits with the management tools, concepts and strategies necessary to shape change in their communities. CompassPoint offers two free eNewsletters: Food for Thought and Board Café.
  • CompuMentor is a nonprofit organization specializing in technology assistance for community-based organizations and schools. Through a consulting practice, CompuMentor offers technological planning, implementation, and support services. CompuMentor is also the home of TechSoup.org, the technology website for the nonprofit sector.
  • Energize, Inc. is a for-profit international training, consulting and publishing firm specializing in volunteerism. The founder and current president, Susan Ellis, has made many of her own and others' books available for purchase via the Energize, Inc website, as well as information about consulting and training services.
  • The Independent Sector works to promote, strengthen, and advance the nonprofit and philanthropic community to foster private initiative for the public good. They provide managers, researchers, volunteers, and the press with the essential facts and figures needed to understand the size, scope, and nature of the sector and its contributions to American society.   • JustGive.org helps donors find "the causes and the charities they care about." Under "Nonprofit Resources" this website offers nonprofits' resources, online fundraising tools, and a means to increase awareness and donations to their organizations.
  • The Nonprofits' Insurance Alliance of California (NIAC) is a liability insurance pool, which was established exclusively for 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in California. NIAC provides a stable source of reasonably priced liability insurance tailored to the specialized needs of the nonprofit sector. NIAC also assists organizations to develop and implement effective loss control and risk management programs. The site provides numerous resources about risk management.
  • The Nonprofit Risk Management Center offers a wide range of services (from technical assistance to software to training and consulting help) on a vast array of risk management topics (from employment practices, to insurance purchasing to internal controls and preventing child abuse). NRMC does not sell insurance or endorse organizations that do. The site includes selections from the Center's newsletters and other publications.
  • The Points of Light Foundation & Volunteer Center National Network engages and mobilizes millions of volunteers who are helping to solve serious social problems in thousands of communities. The Foundation encourages people from all walks of life - businesses, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, low-income communities, families, youth, and older adults - to volunteer. The site provides resources and links to Volunteer Centers and other organizations that support the nonprofit sector.
  • The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) promotes an efficient, viable, and inclusive nonprofit sector that supports the growth, learning, and development of young professionals. YNPN engages and supports future nonprofit and community leaders through professional development, networking and social opportunities designed for young people involved in the nonprofit community. YNPN email list is intended to share ideas and resources to help nonprofit professionals improve the quality of work in their organizations.
